Moses Chan is an Assistant Professor of Instruction of Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences at Northwestern University. Chan is a computational statistician with an emphasis in Bayesian computation in natural sciences, and statistical, data science education in engineering. His research focuses on developing efficient algorithms interfacing statistics, computer models, and physical sciences.

Chan is a collaborative member of NSF CSSI Framework Bayesian Analysis for Nuclear Dynamics, publishing and maintaining computational software surmise and LCGP within the framework. He obtained his B.S.E., M.S.E. in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan, and PhD in Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences from Northwestern University.

In Summer 2025, Chan is a Visiting Researcher at Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Chan is the Co-director of the Minor program in Machine Learning & Data Science at Northwestern University. recently, he is also the recipient of the 2025-26 Searle Fellowship.
